Doha, Qatar: The second edition of the Autonomous e-Mobility Forum (AEMOB) will take place this September 7-8, 2026, at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC), followed by a dedicated Ecosystem Tour on September 9.
The Ministry of Transport (MoT) is the Host and Strategic Partner of the event, organised by Just us & Otto, and held under the patronage of the Minister of Transport H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulla bin Mohammed Al Thani. This came during a press briefing at Hilton Doha Hotel yesterday.
Addressing the press briefing, MoT’s Assistant Undersecretary for Land Transport Affairs Eng. Abdullah Saif Al-Sulaiti said that Qatar’s transportation industry has been witnessing rapid progress and achieving well-recognised milestones both regionally and globally, driven by the MOT’s commitment to delivering smart, sustainable transportation solutions and providing supporting logistics services that meet the demands of modern cities and contribute to a better quality of life.
He pointed out that the MoT launched the Autonomous Vehicles Strategy and teamed up with its partners to supervise the execution of the 1st phase of electric robotaxi tryouts to test the operational and technical aspects while evaluating safety and efficiency levels. The second phase of testing is expected to commence soon, paving the way for the future expansion of their use within the country’s public transit system.
The scale of AEMOB Forum 2026 is further reflected in the support of more than 20 sponsors and partners, bringing together organizations from across Qatar and the region to support dialogue, knowledge exchange and the advancement of autonomous and electric mobility.
