Washington:Minister of Finance HE Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari met with Minister of the Economy, Finance, Industrial and Digital Sovereignty of the French RepublicHE Roland Lescure, on the sidelines of the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting, held in the US. During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of key issues of mutual interest, particularly in the economic and financial fields, as well as ways to further strengthen cooperation and explore opportunities to enhance bilateral economic and financial relations.

Doha: Minister of State for International CooperationHE Dr Maryam bint Ali Al Misnad has expressed condolences to Nepal over victims of recent floods during a phone call with Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Shisir Khanal on Monday. Al Misnad offered the State of Qatar's condolences to the families of those who died in the floods and wished those injured a speedy recovery. Her Excellency said the arrival of a Qatari aircraft carrying humanitarian aid for people affected by the floods in Nepal was part of Qatar's ongoing efforts to support relief and humanitarian response operations and promote international solidarity. Al Misnad also reaffirmed Doha's readiness to continue coordinating with Nepal on its priority humanitarian needs.

Doha: The State of Qatar condemned the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by the extremist Israeli National Security Minister and groups of settlers, considering it a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, and an unacceptable provocation of the feelings of millions of Muslims worldwide. In a statement issued Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that Al-Aqsa Mosque is a place of worship exclusively for Muslims, and that all unilateral measures aimed at changing the historical and legal status quo in Jerusalem and its holy sites are null and void under international law. The Ministry warned that the continuation of these repeated violations and provocations would fuel cycles of violence and escalation in the region, and undermine the chances for de-escalation and stability. It reiterated its call on the international community to take urgent action to compel Israel to cease its ongoing violations against the Palestinian people and their holy sites, and to comply with relevant international resolutions. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reiterated the State of Qatar's firm and supportive stance on the Palestinian cause and the steadfastness of the brotherly Palestinian people, based on ending the occupation and enabling the Palestinian people to obtain their legitimate rights, foremost among which is the establishment of their independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
