Doha, Qatar: Qatar participated in the second meeting of the committee tasked with following up on the implementation of the Gulf Security Strategy for Combating Money Laundering 2026-2030, held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in Riyadh.
The Ministry of Interior delegation was headed by Colonel Staff Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Thani, Assistant Director of the Economic and Cyber Crimes Department at the General Department of Criminal Investigation.
The meeting discussed plans to implement the objectives of the Gulf security strategy, with a particular focus on legislation and security policies, joint security operations, cooperation and coordination, as well as training and capacity building.
The participation reflects Qatar’s continued support for strengthening GCC-wide security cooperation and developing coordinated measures to combat money laundering and related economic crimes.
