Amir receives Crown Prince of Jordan

Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met on Monday at the Amiri Diwan with HRH Crown Prince of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II.

At the outset of the meeting, HH the Amir welcomed HRH Jordan's Crown Prince, affirming the depth of the fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries.

For his part, HRH the Crown Prince conveyed to HH the Amir the greetings of HM King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, along with his wishes of continued good health and happiness to His Highness, and further progress and prosperity to the Qatari people.

HRH Prince Al Hussein underscored the importance of intensifying diplomatic efforts to achieve a comprehensive and sustainable de-escalation that would restore stability in the region. He also expressed Jordan's full support for, and solidarity with, the State of Qatar and other countries in the region in safeguarding their security and sovereignty, reiterating his country's condemnation of the attacks targeting Qatar.

In turn, HH the Amir entrusted HRH the Crown Prince to convey his greetings to HM the King of Jordan, wishing His Majesty continued good health and well-being, and the brotherly people of Jordan continued growth and prosperity.

HH the Amir also expressed the State of Qatar's appreciation for Jordan's supportive stance, emphasizing the importance of continued coordination and consultation on regional developments in a manner that contributes to de-escalation and strengthens the foundations of security and stability in the region.

During the meeting, both sides highlighted the strong fraternal ties between the two countries and discussed ways to further enhance and develop them. They also exchanged views on key regional and international developments.
