Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Municipality has ordered the temporary closure of a restaurant inside a hotel in Al Shahaniya Municipality for seven days after it was found using expired food.

According to an administrative closure decision issued by Al Shahaniya Municipality, the restaurant, located inside Ras Abrouq Hotel, was closed for 7 days from August 26, 2026, for violating provisions of Law No. 8 of 1990 regulating the control of food intended for human consumption.

The Ministry said the violation involved using expired food products.

The decision also requires a sign to be placed at the establishment indicating that it has been closed for violating food safety regulations.

The seven-day closure was issued under Administrative Closure Decision No. 158 of 2026.
